Doctorate

The Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering is designed to prepare students for advanced research, academic leadership, and high-level engineering innovation. Building on a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, the program enables doctoral students to develop deep expertise in their chosen research fields while contributing original knowledge to science, technology, and society.

Through advanced coursework, qualification processes, thesis monitoring, research activities, and close supervision by faculty members, students progress toward becoming independent researchers capable of defining complex problems, developing rigorous methods, and producing impactful solutions. The program supports specialization across the broad spectrum of mechanical engineering, including energy systems, solid mechanics, design and manufacturing, robotics, control, materials, thermal sciences, and interdisciplinary engineering research.
